Are there any really cheap electronic drumsets?

yes there is one. it's been released by three seperate companies. these are the products (mind you they are all the same):

Replacement pads, which I'm pretty sure work with other drum modules like the Alesis D4 (which outputs to midi and is therefore way more useful), are sold by Bafo as SD-5

So how good is this product? Can I use it to drive my professional drum module?
Yes, yes, yes! I got mine and I'm quite happy with it. The frame is stronger and less toylike than I had imagined and the pads are pretty resilient. You can indeed hook up a drum module like an Alesis D4, DM5, or DMPro. The pads are of course velocity sensitive. The only thing that doesn't work is the "bass drum pedal" becuase it is just a switch and not a sensor. It works fantastically as a high hat close/open pedal. THis means that if I want a six pad (or seven for that matter) drum set I have to buy another soul drummer for the extra pads. This is better that way I can mout one down below and use a real kick pedal to hit it. THat will feel way more natural.

Another thing is the cords that connect the pads to the 1Come module are 1/8" while the standard trigger cords for the drum modules are 1/4". You will have to buy an adapter for each pad.

I am still working on how I might be able to mount a rackmount module such as an alesis to the frame. Pintech makes a part for doing just that as does Hart Dynamics but I don't have any way of knowing if it compatible with the 1Come frame.

Here are some photos of my kit:

this is the module that came with the drum set. it has a USB out which makes it next to useless.

If you copy/move your XP partition from one hard drive to another, and then you boot up XP, and find that you get the standard Windows XP boot up screen but no log-in box...

Simply boot up Windows 98 and type "fdisk /mbr." (going into the windows recovery cosole and typing "fixboot c:" or any variant thereof will not work.)
